Bta-s adsorbs on the metal surface to form a thin film to protect copper, brass, bronze and other metals from atmospheric and harmful media. Adding a small amount of bta-s to cold water prevents the migration of copper ions. The migration of copper ions can catalyze the corrosion of metals such as aluminum and iron. In heat transfer medium, copper ions can cause the corrosion of aluminum pores. The addition of bta-s to circulating water can prevent the serious corrosion caused by copper ion catalyzing oxidation of ethylene glycol to form acid. Therefore, it is widely used in solar conversion system, nuclear power plant reactor and power plant boiler cooling system, automobile engine and internal combustion engine cooling system.
